just a plain tree

A few days ago we were taking down the Christmas tree. It's pretty much my least favorite holiday activity...is there anyone who actually likes it? It was taking longer than normal this year which was surprising since we had two extra helpers; Jack and Melody. Jack was talking so much that it was impossible to concentrate, while Melody was actually putting all the ornaments back on the thee. At least she was putting them all on the same branch. When we were finally finished and had the ornaments all boxed away Jack looked at the tree and said, "Well, now we have just a plain tree like everyone else!"
