How to...

take really awesome bad pictures of an 19 month old.

1. Chase one year old around until he gets caught and then throw him in the closest chair, even if it's an ugly brown one.

2. Desperately snap pictures before he can climb down and run away again.

3. Play peekaboo in an effort to keep him in chair for more than 3.5 seconds.

4. Use one hand to take picture and one hand to pin one year old to chair.

5. Realize you have to pick your battles. Sigh and walk away.

PSF and teeth

We've had a loose tooth for a while.

And then today, when I picked him up from school, the tooth was in an envelope instead of his mouth.

He told me that he hoped the Tooth Fairy doesn't bring quite as much as Santa did.

I don't think he's going to have to worry about that.

And in case your wondering, he lost the bottom right tooth, not the top middle one.

Livin' on a prayer

I went back to Tampa this weekend.

This time for a little girl time.

And after hearing Beth Moore speak on the power of Christ (more about that later)

we rocked out at the Bon Jovi concert!

And when I say rocked out. I'm talking seriously rocked out.

I could barely talk the next day.

Apparently 3 hours of yelling "yeahhhhh" and "woooooooooooo" can do that to you.

We went down to Channelside first and listened to the Bon Jovi cover band Slippery When Wet.

Don't you love our shirts?

Jon and Richie.

Amazing hearing them play. Totally amazing.

And, regardless of what my husband claims, they TOTALLY rock and ARE NOT a girly band. I just had to say it.

WOOOOOOO!!!!

PSF and lollipops

Charlie has a big smile on his face.

Can you guess why?

Because Mommy gave him his first lollipop!
(Melody calls them wa-we-pops by the way.)

He loved it so much he even ate the stick.

Seriously.

It's not often...

that we get a great shot of the whole family!

Ok, maybe not the whole family.

Melody seems to be distracted.

But, hey, 4 out of 5 isn't bad.

I'm linking up with Krystyn today.

This is the first picture I've been in with my kids since Christmas and I just had to show it off!

PSF and Spring Break

Ahhh, Spring break.

After our long, freakin' freezing cold winter, spring break held a new meaning this year.

For three, almost four, full days in Florida,

we hunted for sea shells

frolicked through the waves with friends

enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool

Some of us even preferring to skinny-dip

But the most fun of all was hanging out with some of our favorite friends!
And despite what the picture may imply, they all had a great time.

What did you do for Spring break?

One of the sweetest pictures you will ever see

What do you do...

when you find an Easter egg?

Stop looking for more of course!

There's candy in this bad boy.

See?

Charlie found all of one egg. And he was fine with that. He got a few pity eggs thrown into his basket by some friends.

Melody racked up with a basket full of eggs. She knew what she was doing this year.

Jack graduated to the big kid egg hunt this year and found it's harder to be a small fish in a big pond instead of the big fish he's been in the past. He was a little disappointed when he saw Melody's stash compared to his own. But a very good sport about it.

I told him that Charlie only found one egg.

I think that made him feel better. Maybe.

Sprrrring Brreak!!!!

I'm not going to be around much this week.

It's Spring break for us and we're headed for Florida. In fact, I'm probably in the car right now.

I'm going to be chillaxin' with my bestie for a few days.

Or at least doing as much chillaxin' as these children will allow.

I do have a few post scheduled and 'll try to check in whenever I'm not helping Lauren keep six kids in line lounging with a margarita.

Peace out.

Jack was reading from this Bible which we really love.

Happy Easter!

The votes are in...

although I don't know if long or short won.

I decided to to cut it regardless of the outcome.

And I think I made a pretty good decision.

Just check out my handsome little guy.

PSF and decisions

Last week I blogged about my lack of blogging material.

I'm still feeling unoriginal this week. So, I figured as long as I'm feeling unoriginal, I might as well be unoriginal and steal someone else's idea.

I was cursed blessed with the straightest hair ever. Seriously, I get asked all the time what kind of flat iron I use. Nope, don't use one.

Jack (and the rest of my children) inherited that same gene. The straight-as-an-arrow-hair-that-grows-forward-no-matter-what gene.

I like Jack to have the cute little boy haircut that looks like this

after a lot of hairspray (no, my husband does not like nor approve of the use of product) for about 5 minutes.

After those 5 minutes are up, it looks like this

and after about 1/2 hour it looks like this.

At that point, I usually decide I want to give him a cute little boy buzz look so I don't have to worry about combing it and listening to my husband complain about using hairspray. And then after I get it buzzed, I wonder if it looks good or not.

So, we're at that point again. He's starting to look shaggy (well, as shaggy as one can look with really straight hair) and in desperate need of a haircut.

This is where you come in.

What's your vote?

Hairspray or haircut?

Long or short?

Let me know what you think and come back tomorrow to see the end result.
