Like I mentioned last week, Melody has been working on pedaling for a while now. It took some time for her short little legs to get long enough to even reach the pedals. But now that she has mastered it, there's pretty much no stopping her.
Unless, of course, this happens.
I know it looks bad, but don't worry, she wasn't hurt.
In fact, after one big "waaa!" she got right back on.
"You're a tough cookie", I told her.
"Nooooo, (laughing) I just Mel-dee-dee and I a big gu-rl," she replied.

And in other news, what do you think of my new blog look?
I have Krystyn over at Krizzy Designs to thank for that. Go and check her out. Her blog designs are cool and her announcements are adorable!

She is a big gu-rl!! Way to go Mel-dee-dee!
love the new blog look!
I say she is one tough cookie too! Love how kids, once they know their names, just have to let you know that they aren't any of the cool nicknames we work so hard to give them!
Love me some Melody! She is too cute..and oh, so determined!
Oh, and I love you new look! I'm slightly jealous. I think Krizzy Designs needs a new look!
Love the new look and I love those videos! Super cute!! Alex loves her trike!
Good Job Melody! She is sooo good at riding her bike! Love the new look!
They make em tough, gotta be to face this world. Love her comment-- too cute!
I didn't like that fall picture. It looked like she landed on her teeth!!!!!!!!!
Make sure she knows how to brake well.
Can't wait to see her in real action.
She really can pedal now. And crash. She's come a long way!
And THANK the Lord you finally had Krystyn make over your blog. I was just thinking again this morning when I was over that the Christmas picture header really needed updating. I didn't think about it until I had already left a comment or I would have given you a little nudge.;-) But don't feel bad, I really think I'm going to stick with my snowmen for the winter and the beachy-ish one that's up now for the other 3 seasons since we truly only have 2 seasons here~~HOT and cool.
LOVE the new layout. Great job, Krystyn!
So sweet! I love her comment to you! Priceless!
So cute! It is nice when they fianlly figure out how to make the pedals go forward instead of backward! I LOVE the new blog look! It is SUPER cute....and the new header is adorable!
hooray! I'm always so glad when they learn to pedal. I finally bought one of those kettler trikes with a push bar so my back survived the teaching period. It was a good investment. Here’s my photo story. happy Friday!
Those were the cutest videos. Poor thing...I hate it when the fall off. Glad she was ok.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Wow, that looked like quite the crash! Good thing she wasn't hurt!
I like that -- you've got to get right back in the saddle! You can't let the tricycle win!
Love the new blog!! I'm impressed she can drive the trike. Luke refuses to really try. He likes to push with his legs. It is like potty training at my house...he is going to be 5 before he does a trike and is in big boy underwear!
Oh she is just too precious. And Meldeedee is definitely a big gurl!
What a sweetie!
sandy toe
So cute! Isn't it fun when they finally get it and start moving? And good for her for getting right back on! That "need for speed" is intoxicating I think!
Aww - poor kiddo with the crash - glad she wasn't hurt!
We are seriously thinking of putting some concrete down somewhere (we live out in the country), just so our kiddo can finally learn to ride a bike! Your little girl looks like a pro!
Thanks for stopping by our blog - nice to meet you!
Hey, it's good to know how to crash too!.........Love the new look......and looks like Melody is doing fabulous with the trike....
Great new look for the blog...I thought it looked different. ;)
Great job, Melody, with the pedaling! This reminds me so much of Mikayla. She got her trike for her 2nd birthday last April, but it took her until March of this year to actually master it completely (the winter months we didn't use it at all, so she never got to ride it). Now she just zooms around. We haven't had a crash quite yet...poor sweet Melody! I'm glad she wasn't hurt. Last weekend we ended up buying Mikayla a big girl bike with training wheels and now she zooms around on that. She's growing up way too fast!! She'll still ride her trike every now and then, so it will still get some use. Fun video!!
