PSF - the camera and the gun

Jack watched Bambi for the first time the other day.

I was concerned that he would be upset following the death of Bambi's mother so I had my husband explain to him about hunting.

He was not upset.

In fact, he was more excited about the hunters than anything else. He has also been talking about shooting deer ever since.

My mom said to him, "You know, you can shoot deer with your camera. That's called shooting too."

He replied, "Yeah! I'll shoot them with my camera then I'll shoot them with my gun."

Perhaps he'll start a new show on the ESPN Outdoors channel: Before and After.

Hee hee! I am always surprised at the different recations kids have to certain things.

In passing Evie saw a car blow up on a show my husband was watching the other day and she hasn't stopped talking about "Car broken" since. :)

It has to be a boy thing.

I was all concerned when Hayden watched Bambi too but he didn't really care. I wanted to yell at him, "Cry Bambi's mom just died! What if I die? Won't you care?"

But I refrained myself. ;)

Unfortunately Jack will never get to go deer hunting because it requires silence! :)

I like that kind of shooting!
Bambi is quite sad & my little granddaughter keeps asking about things that worry her in it.

Too cute! For some reason my boys think that every toy they own can be a gun! It drives me crazy because I don't let them play with toy guns...but their blocks, books, and everything else in the house turns into a gun when they want them too! BOYS!

LOL. We do all of that preparation and then they are fine. I'm glad he enjoyed the movie. I also had to laugh out loud at Jen's comment. I would be thinking the same thing.
