Gingerbread Madness

Since Jack had been asking for weeks to make a gingerbread house, and eat it, I finally gave in.

Last week, while we were in Jackson, they made gingerbread houses and ate them.

Yummy looking, I know. And they ate every last sugary bite.
They didn't save Charlie a bite either. Fortunately, he was happy to just get a graham cracker. He's so easy to please.

Sooooo cute. We always do a gingerbread house, but I forgot to buy a kit this year (bad mommy!). We decided to do the graham cracker thing instead and it was still fun. Not as...aesthetically pleasing mind you, but still fun.

It looks like they had a ton of fun making those {and eating I'm sure}! We made some gingerbread houses too...but we used royal icing and it got really hard really fast! I wouldn't let my boys eat them because I figure if they tried we would end up at the dentist with a broken tooth!

Wow, I bet they had a huge sugar high! They are too cute, the kids and the houses! We went with the pre-made houses and just decorated. R took a liking to the gum drops, a guy after my own heart.

I just bought 4 kits on clearance so the kids could make and eat theirs this week while on break. :-)

LOVE the boys sweaters!

Looks yummy! Hope y'all had a great Christmas!

Also, I think I told you wrong on that little 4 wheeler we got Riley. We thought it was battery powered, but when Santa was bringing it, he discovered that it wasn't! Just wanted to clear up my mistake on that! Sorry!

All of your kids are so cute and I love Melody's Pebbles hairdo. But there is something about Charlie that just makes me want to gobble him up! He is so precious!

Oh boy! Those lucky kids! I didn't give my kids the option of eating their entire gingerbread house. When we made them, the goal was to see how much candy we could get on each house. They ate plenty of the decorations tho ugh!

Please don't tell my girls about the existence of these....I can't even imagine if she eats one!

I love Melody Lou Who's spout on top of her head.

Oooh, yummy!! Buddy made one at school, but never ate it. I think it might be in the garbage now. I should have eaten it!

What fun! I seriously think those candy decorations are so much more delicious when you pick them off those graham cracker houses covered in frosting :)

Sweet, sweet, sweet! :)

Though I must admit that at the end, seeing the words "Charlie" and "bite" in the same sentence totally made me think of the "Charlie Bit Me" video! :)
