Tiger Cubs and Camping

Jack and Alex had the privilege of going on their first father/son Cub Scout camping trip last weekend.

Excited doesn't even begin to cover it for Jack.

Among other things, he learned archery

and how to shoot a bb gun and a slingshot.

His favorite part was orienteering, which involves learning how to follow a compass and map.

He's already informed me he's well on his way to being an Eagle Scout!

Those trips are SO important for little boys (and girls!). Just wish there were more campouts for moms and daughters. Glad he had such a great time.

Aw, how fun! Now I'm wondering if I should get my boys in to Cub Scouts.

Aww, look at him. So cute. Buddy wanted to do Cub Scouts, but it doesn't work with his hockey schedule.

What a stinkin cutie. Jack's face and that wide smile in that first pictures shows how truly excited and happy he was to go on this trip with his dad. I'm so glad they had a good time. :)

My boys begged to do Cub Scouts this year. We just didn't have the time between sports, school, and church! Jack looks so SUPER cute in his uniform!

Yay Tigers! They are so cute. Jakob is a Bear this year and Nolan will be a Tiger next year.
