not me monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

My weekend did not turn into a 4 day weekend when I realized Wednesday that Jack's preschool was closed Thursday and Friday due to private school spring break.

I did not spend a large portion of Thursday morning engaging my children in motor skill boosting activities such as play-doh and cutting with scissors and feel like just the best mommy making the most of a day off. After several hours of play I did not decide I simply needed to get some housework done. I did not give my children pledge wipes and ask them to help me dust. My 4-year-old certainly did not say that that "this was the most fun thing I've ever done!" as he was frantically cleaning toys. Nope, he would never say that after his mommy used all of her creative resources to entertain three small children for 3 hours of constant fun! Seriously, the best time ever cleaning!?! I mean, cleaning is totally not my favorite thing to do! I am definitely not a neat-freak and neither is Jack. Organization is not my life.

My fabulous parents did not drive 6 hours (each way!) to spend one night with us after being unable to catch a flight out Saturday morning. We did not have a terrific time at dinner Saturday night with my aunt and uncle celebrating my youngest brother's 23rd birthday and my 30 24th birthday. I'm so excited about being 24...what a great, young number!

I did not receive a really cute tray with a bird on it as a birthday gift from my aunt, in honor of the bird in our house. When Jack saw the tray the next day he did not say, "that looks like the bird in our house!"

We did not have such a great time at dinner that we left our friend Matt, who was babysitting for us, totally hanging until 11:30! Granted, we didn't leave for dinner until 8:15, but still, it was a church night. How many of you have a friend who's husband will watch other people's kids!? Matt, you rock. We definitely owe you.

I did not come home from church to a sparkling clean kitchen (cleaned to my high standards no less) curtesy of my mom. I was not ever so thankful to her for cleaning before she left.

I did not spend naptime watching Smallville with my husband. We did not have some quality conversation regarding last week's episode as well. Please, my husband does not watch a teeny-bopper show like Smallville! And he would never be upset at me for outing him on my blog.

There was not a commercial for the DVD release of Twilight (March 21, people. I've already pre-ordered.) I did not stop fast-forwarding in order to watch it. Twice. I definitely did not drool at the mere sight of Edward. I just said I was watching TV with my husband...we were having some good quality time. Nothing could distract me.

I did not take my Melody out for a little Mommy and Daughter shopping after naptime Sunday to spend a little of my birthday present. I definitely did not get some really cute things!

I did not have several people comment on my cute, new handbag that my Granny sent me for my birthday. It is not a really posh and trendy metallic silver slouchy bag that is really in right now. My 83-year-old Granny does not have great taste in purses and jewelry!

I will not be constantly praying that time will stop before my actual birthday on Thursday. I'm really looking forward to my birthday. Like I always say; you're only 24 once, right!?

I did not feel uber-productive later that afternoon and whip up some homemade baby food for Charlie as well as some veggies for the older two. I did not enjoying a little bit of Sunday afternoon cleaning. We've already determined that I do not like to clean.

not me monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not commit prescription drug fraud on Friday. No, not me. And while I was not on the phone with the pharmacy, I was not giving my 4-year-old a lecture in honesty. No, not me. I am the poster child for honesty and integrity. So are my children. Me: "Jack, did you hit your sister?" Jack: "No, Mommy, she just ran her head into my open palm." See? Honesty all around.

I did not find a fun gift card for Ann Taylor Loft in my purse and throw myself a mini-shopping spree on Saturday including buying a great pair of white jeans. A must have for spring, according to my personal shopping friend, Lauren.

As I was trying on the jeans, I was not silently praying that my booty wouldn't look ridiculously huge in them. No, not me. I do not have a big posterior...thanks for passing down great genes, Mom. Seriously, umm...J. Lo, my booty could eat your booty. Not that that fact stops me from inhaling cookies every night.

I did not DVR the Oscars last night so I could watch Eward (aka Rob Pattinson) present an award over and over and over again. We've already determind I'm not obsessed with Twilight and all things Edward.

not me monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not totally take advantage of my mom being here and enjoy running errands without any kids on Friday.

I did not totally bust into the Valentine's candy I bought for my kids. I am not secretly happy that I ate so much of it, I am going to have to buy more. Of course, I do not plan on having any of that!

I did not encourage my husband to go alone to a couples wedding shower so I could veg on the couch with a glass of wine and some more of that Valentine's candy. No way, that would be mean. I would never do that! And I definitely did not have a great time by myself on Saturday night!

I did not really wish I could have had an extra piece of cake (or the whole thing) at our friend Brayden's birthday party on Saturday.

I did not find out that several of my friends are newly pregnant. And while I was hugging them congratulations, I was not secretly jumping up and down inside that I am not one of them!

I definitely did not cry when I took the infant carrier out of the car and replaced it with the convertible car seat. No way! I hate to carry that thing, so I would never cry about the fact that this phase of my last baby's babyhood is over.

I did not have my husband take the older children outside to wash the car on Sunday, claiming I had housework to do, so that I could again have time to myself. No way! I am all about family time so I would never do that!

I did not decide not to go with my mom who so nicely took the older two children down to their great-grandma's house today. Does it sound like I was craving some time to myself? No way! Not me! I absolutely love to be rubbed, climbed on, touched, hung on two, 24/7! Who doesn't??

I am definitely not enjoying my breakfast and watching last night's Desperate Housewives as my baby sleeps. No way! I have a million things to do...I'm obviously dusting, vacuuming, and cooking so my family has a peaceful, clean home to enjoy.

not me monday - Twilight Edition

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not got see Twilight for the fourth time! Seriously, who would go see the same movie FOUR times?!?! No, definitely not me.

I most definitely did not start to hyperventilate with excitement in anticipation of seeing Edward. No, not me because I most certainly am not in love with a vampire.

I did not sing along to all the music during the movie since I do not have the soundtrack memorized.

I most definitely have not checked out real estate options in Forks, Washington in anticipation of moving there.

I did not spend the entire movie giving Bella Swan the evil eye like a jealous teenager.

I certainly wasn't hoping that this time James would actually kill her so I could go and comfort Edward.

I did not spend the entire movie trying to convenience my friend Krystyn that Twilight is completely realistic and plausible. I mean, please, everyone knows Vampires hang out in the Olympic Northwest masquerading as high school students.

I am completely aware that the characters in Twilight are completely fictional and I do have a firm grasp on the difference between fiction and reality.

disclaimer **This edition of Not Me Monday is certainly not an indication of a questionable mental capacity. I am not currently stalking Stephenie Meyer nor do I actually believe Edward Cullen is a real person and will some day turn me into a vampire.**

not me monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not have a fabulous weekend with the luxury of just one child. Who sleeps...a lot.

I did not miss my other two like crazy. As in calling them both everyday to check on them as if their grandparents are watching them like hawks.

I did not have 2 hours of pampering getting highlights and a hair cut at Bob Steele Friday afternoon. Including a hand massage. Is there anything better, really??

I did not enjoy some quality time with the husband. I won't elaborate...

I did not throw what I thought was a fabulous baby shower for our good friends, Webb and Lindsey. Good friends, fun times, and a lot of sushi. And I mean a lot...I had enough sushi for an army. Egg rolls too...but surprisingly there weren't any of those left over. However, I did find out later that most people at 2 or 3 they were so good. I however, *did not* eat more than one. Who would eat that many egg rolls?! Not me!

not me monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did not forget my coat in 20-something degree weather while running errands Friday.

I did not wonder why my normally sleepy baby was waking and crying erratically during the night ever since Thursday.

I did not wake up to the rest of my family still sleeping 40 minutes before we needed to leave for church on Sunday.

I did not realize that I yet again almost starved one of my babies by killing my milk supply by taking birth control pills.

I did not cry into the measly 3 ounces it took me 20 minutes to pump which is what caused me not to realize I was starving said baby and causing erratic waking and crying.

I did not throw out said pills.

I did not nurse my almost 4 month old like a newborn in order to begin building back up supply.

I did not cry four times while watching last night's Desperate Housewives.

I did not laugh hysterically when I walked into my son's room and found him holding two teddy-bears; the one he always ha
ve and the one we hide in case we lose the one he always has. "Look! Two Boo-boos!!" he said to me excitedly.

I did not snap a few quick pictures before on
e of the Boo-boos magically disappeared.

I did not feign ignorance when he later asked me where the other Boo-boo went.
