Come visit me...

over at my friend Courtney's site today!  She's the founder of Lil Light O' Mine and Light 'Em Up! Even if you don't travel over to her site to see what I have to say, you should just go to check out what she has to say! I guarentee you'll love her as much as I do.

oh, I'm so honest, er, honored...

to have this award bestowed upon me twice!

Thanks to new bloggy friends Goodbye Martha and Musing of Mommy Dearest for thinking I'm so honest. I sure hope I don't dro
p this! (haha, just a little Twilight humor.)Now, in order to honestly accept this award, I have to confess (I know, not again!) 10 things about myself.

I'm going to try and be really brutally honest this time...

1. I have always lied about my weight on my drivers license. Not by much though. Just enough to make me feel good.

2. In high school I threw an unsupervised huge bash small gathering that accidentally got way out of hand and got busted big time. After my parents calmed down a bit and weren't quite as furious with me my dad told me that he also threw a party in high school when his parents were out of town. This did not make me feel better. Just inferior.

3. I am not a big fan of women police officers. Sorry to offend anyone who is a police officer or does not feel this way. I think certain positions are great for women (like a detective or something) but it just doesn't seem logical that if some guy grabs my purse, runs and is then pursued by a woman that she's going to catch them. I just feel safer if I know a bunch of men are protecting me.

4. I have gotten not one but two speeding tickets at this one speed trap near my house. And, I kid you not, the cops sit in a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot! Literally the dude's partner came out of DD with a bag of donuts while the dude was writing me a ticket. No, neither of them were women.

5. I love that reality show Beauty and the Geek and am so bummed it's not on anymore. I also love Rock of Love with Brett Michaels. I also love Brett Michaels. And Stephen Tyler, but he's not on a reality show.

6. I still totally love to listen to Debbie Gibson and Tiffany.

7. I think my wedding is the best wedding I've ever been too.

8. I was a little, itty-bitty, teeny-tiny bit disappointed when I found out that Charlie was going to be a boy. Now, of course, I'm beyond thrilled with my two handsome boys and one adorable little girl and wouldn't change a single thing.

9. Sometimes I slouch and it totally drives me nuts but I cannot seem to get in the habit of always standing and sitting up straight.

10. I am so proud of myself for making this whole list without once referring to how much I love Edward. Oh, shoot, well, almost!

Whew! How's that for honestly?

Alright, here's 10 people I'm passing this award on to...that is if they are gutsy enough to accept!

Kelli @ Random Thoughts of a Supermom
Lauren @ Snellings Stories
Pam @ Twenty Little Piggies
Heidi @ Blue Eyed Blessings
Jen @ Buried With Children
Kat @ Seeking Sanity
Jill @ Sneaky Momma
Krystyn @ Really, Are You Serious?
Carrie @ Martin Mannor Happenings
Mandy @ Idealist Meets Reality

Enjoy your award, girls! Y'all absolutely deserve it!

Hey! My first award!

Bren over at Life in Maggie's World just bestowed upon me my first bloggy award! Thanks, Bren! Now it's my job to pass it along to other bloggy friends who I love to follow and are superstars in my book.

Kelli over at Random Thoughts of a Supermom is super cool. She has three adorable little guys and her littlest is just a few weeks older than Charlie. She has been going through a tough time lately as has remained a real SUPERmom through all of it!

Heidi over at Sacred and Profane just cracks me up. Constantly. I cannot wait to check her blog and see what her latest story is. She's got four little cutie-pies who always have something going on too.

Amy over at In the Tiger Den is mommy to adorable little TigerBoy. He's a real all-things-vehicle lover, a trait close to my heart as I'm watching him do many of the thing Jack did at that age.

Erin at It's All About Alex has this adorable, spunky little girl, (Alex, obviously!) who just reminds me so much of Melody. Alex is always up to something and is just so stinkin' cute!

Pam over at Twenty Little Piggies is a fellow Southern and truly has that sweetness and charm Southern ladies are known for. Her little girls, Caroline and Ellis, are so, so precious!

I haven't been blogging for that long and when I started I thought I would just be posting pictures of my kids for my husband and mom to look at. I have "met" some really great people here and I look forward to my blog updates everyday!

To accept this award you need to pass it along to your fellow bloggers who you think are superstars!

crashed

Well, my worst fear has come true. Ok, not really my worst fear, but still something I really didn't want to happen. My computer crashed. Yep. It's currently at Geek Squad getting the data pulled off the hard drive. Hopefully there will be not problems with that as all my picture are on there. And, since I know you're all thinking, "surely she backed them up." The answer is no. I know, I know. I actually had them backed up on our desktop and then my husband and his computer genius buddy, Webb, decided to wipe our desktop and use it for storage and as a server. So, yes, the crash happened in the few weeks that my backup system was actually in maintenance as well. As to what will happen to my computer after the data is retrieved is still a mystery. Right now I'm just concerned about making sure I have my data. I'm not sure what I would do if I lost all my pictures documenting my children's lives. Well, ok, I do know what I would do. I would survive and just start over, but I would be majorily upset for a while.

I do have a few drafts ready to be published. But new stuff will probably be scare on my blog until I get this sorted out. I'm currently mooching off my husband's work issued laptop. Apparently it's a pretty high-tech system, however I like what I had and keep messing things up with this one.

I don't know how much time I will have for blogging in the near future though as I now have three mobile children. Charlie has figured out the army crawl and is pretty darn fast too. That newfound skill, combined with Melody's new thrill of opening doors (such as the door to the very steep steps of the basement) are keeping my eyes and ears elsewhere.

Don't forget that my Twilight giveaway ends tomorrow. I'll choose three winners using random.org tomorrow afternoon so you still have about 24 hours to enter.

bloggers anonyomous

So, it seems that along with New Year's Resolutions this year, I've also taken on a New Year's Addiction. As if my Twilight addiction wasn't bad enough. I've become totally addicted to blogging. Every few minutes I'm texting myself topics I've deemed blog-worthy. I have about five posts partially finished, although you'll have to wait for them to be published; we're out of town this weekend and I need access to my computer to post pictures with them. Most of them are kid-related, but not all, and a few are quite witty if I do say so myself. However, that's not the worst of it. The worst by far is the blog-stalker I've become. (Should I even be admitting this??) As I've posted and checked out other blogs I follow, I've been led to many (wayyy too many) other blogs. Maybe I need to add bloggers anonyomous to the list of activities I want to participate in this year? So, fellow bloggers, has this happened to any of you? Is this just blogger-newbie behavior that will subside? And, more importantly, do you have any interesting blogs I can read?
