evolution of a tree

This is my favorite tree in our yard.

A huge Maple.

Here is is all full and green.

The view from the front...just starting to change color. It changes to a vibrant purple and yellow.

And the leaves are starting to fall...

This picture was taken last week and these last few leaves have pretty much fallen off as well. Time to start raking!

Wow! What a beautiful tree. I'd love a tree like that, however, I'd also hate having to rake that many leaves!!

I bet you have a lot of leaves to clean up! That should be a lot of fun with the kids! What a big pretty tree :)

That is gorgeous and what fun to play in when the leaves all fall off.

I have never noticed that tree. Probably because I am too busy running in the house for whatever tasty treat you have fixed for me!

I love Maple trees. Right now we just have a bunch of evergreens and firs in our yard, but we are planting a bunch of maples this spring. :)
Beautiful pictures!

What a great series of photos. I always tell myself I should do the same with a tree in our backyard every year as it changes with the season :)

What a great idea. We have a great tree in our backyard that usually goes bright red, but with the early cold, we missed it.

Most of our trees now are rather leaf-less.......
