We've moved! (Update)

I have finally convinced my husband that my true calling in life is to be a vampire and last week we moved to Forks, Washington in pursuit of that.

Ok, not really. But it feels like we've moved to the Pacific Northwest with all the rain we've gotten this past week.

I literally have not seen the sun since we were in Cancun two weekends ago!

This was the scene from my front porch at 2:00 Monday afternoon.
Can you see the water coming off the roof?
Luke's water bowl was empty a few days ago.

This is a popular restaurant near (now in) the Chattahoochee River in the Vinings area. (I think my friend Lisa took this photo. I hope she doesn't mind that I swiped it off of Facebook.)
As a result of all this rain, we've had school closing, roads flooded, friends stranded and water damage in homes. Basically it's been a real pain in the A55 rear.
Can anyone please describe the sun to me? I think I've forgotten what it looks like!

*UPDATE* Almost exactly 24 hours after the first picture was taken, I took another one...

I guess our flood is over!

We have been lucky in the Nashville TN area, not any flooding but we have seen rain for the last 8 days and it is to go till at least nest Sat. or Sunday. I understand where you are coming from. Take care, be safe.

I hope you dry out soon! We had 21 days of NO RAIN so we are on the opposite end of the spectrum. We keep waiting and waiting and waiting. I hear it's bad down there though. Thinking dry thoughts for you!

Oh no...I hope you all are safe and stay dry. We have had a few rainy days too and it's supposed to rain all week I think. I hope your downpour ends soon.

No flooding here, but yesterday was the first sunny day in more than a week. It's been raining like crazy. My BIL/SIL live in McDonough. I guess I should check on them and make sure they haven't floated away!

Wow. That certainly is a lot of rain! We had some flooding back in August in my town because of major rain. It's no fun and you really feel for those people affected by it.

Crazy! You guys are all in our prayers.
As for the sun, - think of how your face feels when you have to yell at the kids for 15 to 20 min straight. Except nicer and more fun.

We had that weather in June. It rained 24 days that month. Hang in there and tie the boat to the front porch just in case.

I feel like we live in Forks too but I have yet to see a hot vampire or werewolf walking around. I am so sick of this weather looks like yall got it worse than us though.

I have a friend that took her daughter to the aquarium in Atlanta and she was stuck on the interstate for hours due to flooding.
The sun is finally shining here but watching the weather - I am told it will be short lived. Try and stay dry!!!

Apparently I haven't been paying attention to the news because I had no idea! Gosh, I hope it dries up soon...yikes!

I'm SO pathetic! I read that first couple sentences and my immediate thought was, "No way! Awesome! I wanna live in Forks." Then I kept reading, duh. Now I get it. We're pretty Forks-ish ourself right now.
I love your New Moon countdown. I might have to snag one too. :)

And we are experiencing the driest September/August on record. So crazy.
Glad that your house is still standing and you are all okay. It is pretty bad in some spots (obviously you know that).

I live in the Memphis, TN area & it has been raining almost non-stop here for the last week+. We have had a little flooding, but nothing like that around the restaurant! I will be so glad to see the sun again too!

I would l.o.v.e. to send you some of our AZ sun for some of your rain. Maybe not all of it, but some :)

Ugh...I know what you mean. I am in Cumming and they closed schools today...and finally the sun shines! Go figure. I seriously was starting to dip in seratonin levels from lack of sunshine. Rain stinks.

It's over for us, but there are still a lot of people that are under water. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
